Multi-dwelling unit and new construction projects run on a schedule set by someone else: the property manager's lease-up date, or the developer's occupancy deadline. We coordinate our fibre work directly around that schedule, rather than asking the project to work around ours.
Multi-Dwelling Unit Wiring
MDU wiring is the fibre installation that runs through an apartment or condominium building down to each individual unit. In an occupied building, this work happens around residents already living there, so access has to be scheduled unit by unit rather than treated as one open site.
New Construction Deployment
On a ground-up development, fibre is one piece of a larger construction schedule shared with electrical, plumbing, and other trades. It typically needs to go in at a specific point in that sequence — early enough to be enclosed behind drywall, but coordinated so it doesn't conflict with the other trades working the same space.
Coordination
MDU and new-build projects run on schedules set by others. Both types require active coordination throughout — not just at the start.
Property Management
Once a building is occupied, any further fibre work — repairs, upgrades, or new resident connections — runs through the property management team rather than as an independent project.
That means scheduling access to common areas and units, and communicating timelines to residents directly affected by the work.
Developer Coordination
Developer schedules shift as a project progresses, which means fibre work can't be locked to a single installation date set at the outset.
Coordination here is ongoing: adjusting sequencing as construction phases actually move, not as originally planned.
