Traffic Signal & ITS Connectivity
Modern traffic signals are rarely standalone. Most are networked to a central traffic management system, letting a municipality monitor signal timing and respond to congestion or incidents in real time.
Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) extend this further with connected sensors, signage, and monitoring equipment across a road network — all running on dedicated fibre linking intersections, roadside equipment, and the municipality's control center.
Public Safety Network Builds
Surveillance systems and emergency communication networks need dedicated connectivity, separate from public internet infrastructure, since they support public safety operations that can't depend on shared or best-effort networks. This covers fibre connections to traffic cameras, public safety cameras, and emergency communication equipment.
Network Upgrades & Certification
Municipal networks age and grow the same way carrier networks do. Periodic testing confirms they're still performing correctly, and upgrades add capacity as more systems get layered on over time.
Certification becomes relevant when a municipality needs formal documentation of network performance — whether for internal records or a compliance requirement.
